• {Re}Form Your Body & Mind

  • ABOUT

Bushwick Pilates is a One-on-One Pilates Training platform founded by Yung-Li Chen. We customize your exercise program to meet your individual goals and needs. You will gain muscle strength, flexibility, improved posture and increased energy levels. This efficient full-body workout method will push your body to the next level, whether you are training, toning or simply recovering from an injury or stress.

Each individualized session uses classic Pilates apparatus, such as the Reformer & Tower, Wunda Chair, TRX, and more. It is fun yet challenging, focusing on self-motivational goals of strength and alignment. Take your body and mind to the next level. Once you see the results, it becomes an addiction. Life is about repetition. You repeat a process until you belong to It. Every single effort counts and every good behavior leads to the next one.

I moved to the U.S. from Taiwan in 2005 to further my dance education. I found that maintaining a healthy lifestyle and good habits in New York is a unique challenge. It took me years to settle into the right regimen. That’s why I am here to support and encourage you to reach that delicate balance. One of best things I learned during my first marathon is that your body is more capable and durable than you may be aware of. It’s the mind that controls everything. What you think, you become. This applies to everything. We all have a little voice in our head encouraging us to exercise, eat well, drink more water, etc. It takes time, effort and commitment to build up good habits. It took me years to reach a consistent pattern of healthy eating, for example. Occasionally, I slip back into those old, bad habits but I know how to work my way and climb back up. Things take time to build and grow and we often underestimate ourselves. Make up your mind to commit to a healthy body and it will be the best investment you’ve ever made.
